Again the menu is aspect ratio locked to 16:9, ingame is not, if that doesn't work, you'll have to brave the hex editor solution below.ġ) Load the game, select your single monitor resolution as your resolution option.Ģ) Download some sort of hex editor, I use XVI32.ģ) Go to %USERDATA%/AppData/Local/Colossal Order/Cities_SkylinesĤ) Open gameSettings.cgs in your hex editor.ĥ) Open Windows Calculator, and change it to programmer mode.Ħ) In Calculator, make sure Dec is selected, enter your single monitor resolution width (mine is 1680) and then click Hex.ħ) In my case it'll give me a value of (6 90), add the leading 0 if the value is only 3 digits long, so (6 90) becomes (06 90). ![]() Because for no good reason the games settings file is saved in binary format.Įdit: Actually thinking about it, rather then going via the hex editor solution below, just delete %USERDATA%/AppData/Local/Colossal Order/Cities_Skylines/gameSettings.cgs and then start the game (make sure you close the game before deleting it). ![]() The game does support it, it'll actually select it by default if you don't touch the resolution options, if you have your going to need to hex edit the configuration file.
